This Privacy Policy explains how Sudoku: Mindoku Daily Puzzle collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the app and related support, account, or community features.

1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to the Sudoku: Mindoku Daily Puzzle Android app and related support, account, premium, cloud-sync, and community puzzle marketplace workflows operated by the app publisher.
2. Information the app may collect
Account and sign-in data
- An app account identifier, including anonymous Firebase Authentication IDs.
- Google account sign-in information if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Your Firebase user ID when an account is linked or authenticated.
Profile and support-related data
- Display name.
- Profile photo URL if you choose to sign in with Google or set a profile image.
- Public user ID used for in-app profile, stats, and community attribution features.
Gameplay, progress, and app data
- Daily challenge progress, including started or completed status and timestamps.
- Saved game state and gameplay preferences stored on your device.
- Cloud-synced profile, stats, and progress data where supported by the app.
- Gameplay result data such as score, mistakes, elapsed time, wins, and puzzle mode or difficulty.
Community puzzle marketplace data
The app includes a community puzzle marketplace where users can create, publish, browse, and play user-generated Sudoku puzzles. When you use these features, additional information may be collected:
- Puzzle content you publish: puzzle name, description, difficulty setting, grid data, and constraint configuration associated with your account.
- Community interactions: likes, ratings, play completions, comments, and comment replies you submit on community puzzles, linked to your account.
- Social features: puzzles you have bookmarked and builders you follow, linked to your account.
- Solve performance: best completion time for community puzzles you have solved, used to generate per-puzzle leaderboards.
- Content reports: if you report a puzzle or comment, the report is logged alongside the reported content identifier.
- Published puzzle visibility: puzzle name, author display name, difficulty, and play or engagement counts are publicly visible to other users in the marketplace.
Push notification data
- FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) device tokens used to deliver opt-in push notifications.
- Notification types include: Daily puzzle ready reminders, streak-at-risk alerts, and a daily engagement digest summarising new likes and ratings received on your published puzzles.
Analytics and diagnostics
- Firebase Analytics events and screen usage information.
- Crash diagnostics and technical error information through Firebase Crashlytics.
Premium and subscription data
- RevenueCat app user ID and entitlement status.
- Subscription or purchase status for Mindoku Pro products.
Advertising and monetization data
- If you use an ad-supported version of the app, Google AdMob may process device and app interaction data for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and diagnostics.
- This may include the Android Advertising ID, IP-based approximate location, app events, and device or network metadata made available through the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
- Mindoku Pro may provide an ad-free experience for eligible premium users.
3. How information is used
- To create and maintain your account and restore access across sessions.
- To save progress, Daily challenge state, and profile information.
- To provide gameplay features such as saved games, insights, and cloud-backed progress.
- To operate the community puzzle marketplace, including publishing puzzles, displaying attribution, computing leaderboards, processing ratings and likes, and delivering community feeds.
- To deliver push notifications you have opted into, including daily puzzle reminders, streak alerts, and engagement digests for your published puzzles.
- To moderate content: reports are used to review and, where necessary, remove puzzles or comments that violate the usage terms.
- To improve app quality, stability, and feature decisions through analytics and crash reporting.
- To manage Mindoku Pro access, purchases, entitlement restoration, and ad-free access.
- To serve and measure ads in ad-supported experiences through Google AdMob.
- To respond to support, privacy, and account deletion requests.
4. Public information in the community marketplace
When you publish a puzzle to the community marketplace, certain information becomes visible to other users of the app. This includes your display name (or public identifier), the puzzle name, description, difficulty, and engagement counts such as likes, ratings, and plays. Comments you post on community puzzles are also visible to other users. If you do not wish this information to be publicly visible, do not publish puzzles or post comments.
5. Where information is processed or stored
The app currently uses third-party infrastructure providers including:
- Google Firebase, including Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, and Crashlytics.
- Cloudflare services for cloud-backed app APIs, community puzzle storage, and database storage.
- RevenueCat for subscription management and entitlement handling.
- Google Play for subscription billing and purchase processing.
- Google AdMob for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention in ad-supported experiences.
6. Data sharing
The app publisher does not sell your personal information. Information is shared only as needed with service providers that help operate the app, such as Firebase, Cloudflare, RevenueCat, Google Play, and Google AdMob, or when required by law.
Puzzle content and community interactions (ratings, comments, likes) that you voluntarily publish are shared with other users of the app as part of the marketplace feature.
7. Local device storage
Some app settings, saved games, and cached status information are stored locally on your device. Removing the app or clearing app data may remove locally stored information that is not synced to the cloud.
8. Retention
Information may be kept for as long as needed to operate the app, maintain account features, support gameplay history, meet legal obligations, and handle premium entitlement or transaction records. Community puzzle data, comments, and interactions associated with your account are retained while your account is active. You may delete your own published puzzles from within the app. Some records may be retained longer by platform or payment providers.
9. Your choices
- You can choose whether to link your account with Google.
- You can opt out of push notifications through your device's notification settings.
- You can delete your own published puzzles from within the community marketplace.
- You can request deletion of your account-related cloud data using the delete account page.
- You can contact support for privacy questions or account-related help.
10. Account deletion requests
If you created or used an account in Sudoku: Mindoku Daily Puzzle, you can request deletion of your account and associated cloud data — including community puzzle content, comments, and interaction history — by following the instructions on the Delete Account Request page.
11. Children's privacy
The app is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. Community features that involve publicly visible content (such as publishing puzzles or posting comments) are intended for use by adults or with appropriate parental oversight. If you believe information was submitted in error, contact support.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when app features, monetization, or data practices change. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
