Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Sudoku: Mindoku Daily Puzzle and related services, including the community puzzle marketplace.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. License to use the app

The app publisher grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own lawful personal use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• misuse, reverse engineer, or interfere with the app or its services, except where law permits it;
• attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or infrastructure related to the app;
• use the app in a way that disrupts other users or the integrity of the service;
• post, publish, or submit content that is hateful, abusive, sexually explicit, threatening, or otherwise harmful or illegal;
• manipulate ratings, likes, play counts, or leaderboard data through automated tools, coordinated inauthentic activity, or any other means;
• use the app for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive activity.

4. Accounts and sign-in

The app may provide anonymous account access and optional sign-in methods such as Google Sign-In. You are responsible for any activity associated with the account credentials or linked identity you choose to use.

Some community features — including posting comments, bookmarking puzzles, and following builders — require a signed-in (non-anonymous) account. Anonymous users may browse, play, like, and rate community puzzles.

5. Premium subscriptions and purchases

The app may offer premium products, including subscriptions and lifetime access options under Mindoku Pro. Premium features are managed through supported payment and entitlement providers such as Google Play and RevenueCat.

• Subscription pricing, billing periods, and renewal terms are shown before purchase.
• Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through the relevant store account.
• Purchase restoration depends on the store account and entitlement state available through the billing provider.
• Refunds, billing disputes, and payment methods are generally handled by the platform through which you purchased.

6. Ads and ad-supported features

Free versions or features of the app may display in-app advertisements. Mindoku Pro may remove some or all in-app ads for eligible premium users. Ad availability, frequency, and placement may change over time.

7. Availability and updates

The app may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the experience at any time. Features may vary by device, region, platform support, premium status, or service availability.

8. Community puzzle marketplace

The app includes a community puzzle marketplace that allows signed-in users to create and publish Sudoku puzzles, and for all users to browse, play, rate, and interact with community content. Use of the marketplace is subject to the following rules.

Publishing puzzles

• You may publish puzzles that pass the technical validation gate (exactly one valid solution, logically solvable without guessing). Puzzles that fail this check cannot be submitted.
• Puzzle names and descriptions must not contain prohibited content (see Section 3).
• Publish frequency may be subject to per-day limits that scale with account reputation and experience level to prevent spam.
• You may delete your own published puzzles from within the app at any time.

Content you submit

You retain ownership of puzzle content, comments, and other material you submit to the marketplace. By submitting content, you grant the app publisher a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and distribute that content to other users of the app as part of operating the community marketplace. This license ends when you delete the content or request account deletion, subject to any copies retained for moderation or legal compliance purposes.

Public visibility

Published puzzles, their metadata (name, description, difficulty, constraint tags), your display name or public identifier, and engagement data (play counts, likes, average rating) are publicly visible to other users. Comments you post are also visible to other users. Do not publish or comment anything you do not wish to be publicly visible.

Ratings, likes, and leaderboards

• Likes and ratings you submit are associated with your account and contribute to a puzzle's public ranking and discovery score.
• Best solve times may appear on per-puzzle leaderboards visible to other users.
• Manipulating engagement signals (ratings, likes, plays) through any inauthentic means is prohibited and may result in account suspension.

Reporting and moderation

Users may report puzzles or comments that appear to violate these terms. The app publisher reserves the right to review reported content and, where appropriate, remove it, hide it, or take action against the responsible account. Content that receives a significant number of reports may be automatically hidden pending review.

9. User content and gameplay data

Gameplay data, account state, and progress may be stored locally on your device and, for supported features, synced through third-party infrastructure used by the app. Community puzzle content and interactions are stored on Cloudflare-backed infrastructure. You retain ownership of content you create or submit, but you grant the app publisher permission to process it as described in Section 8 and in the Privacy Policy.

10. Account suspension or termination

Access may be suspended or terminated if these Terms are violated, if misuse or prohibited content is detected, or if doing so is necessary to protect the app, its infrastructure, or other users. This includes actions taken in response to manipulation of community features or submission of prohibited content.

11. Disclaimer

The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While reasonable efforts are made to provide a stable experience, the app publisher does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect performance, or error-free operation. The app publisher does not endorse or take responsibility for the accuracy, quality, or suitability of user-generated content published in the community marketplace.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the app publisher will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the app, including your use of or reliance on community marketplace content.

13. Changes to these terms

These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
